Floods hit Flextronics for 100 million

Flextronics estimates it lost 100 million dollars because of flooding in Thailand.

January 24 2012, 11:30 AM
In response to a question posed at Flextronics' Q3 Earnings Call , Flextronics CEO Mike McNamara said the company was impacted heavily by recent Thailand flooding and expects the impact to continue in March.

"(Flextronics) probably lost about $100 million of revenue, we anticipate. If we think about this next quarter, in March as well we would probably anticipate roughly the same, maybe slightly less. But it was about $100 million for the December quarter," McNamara answered.

The conference call, hosted on January 19, was attended by several analysts from financial institutions. A full transcript of the call can be accessed at Seeking Alpha.
