Fairchild cuts staff numbers
Fairchild Semiconductor plans to cut staff at its manufacturing unit in South Portland (Maine), USA.
According to Patti Olson, spokes person at the company, its still not clear of how many of the 800 Maine employees that will be affected, reports Pressherald.
Most jobs that will be affected are manufacturing jobs and the reduction is said to help the company remaining competitive and to secure future growth.
