Philips to invest in India
Dutch electronics manufacturer Philips is said to establish a healthcare equipment manufacturing facility in India.
Local media reports that Philips plans to integrate two Indian firms - which it acquired in 2008 - into the new unit which is to focus on the demoestic and oversees markets. "For the first time, Philips is setting up a greenfield site for the healthcare segment in India", Philips Electronics India Managing Director and CEO Murali Sivaraman told PTI.
