Farnell makes 5% increase in 2007

Farnell report a 5% increase in revenue for fiscal 2007.
Revenue increased by 5% to £744.7 million in 2007 (PY: £723.3 million), while the operating profit increased by 9% to £88 million (PY: £83.1 million). Profit before taxation also increased by 18% to £71.2 million (PY 62.3 million) in fiscal 2007.

The continuing operations exclude BuckHickman, part of the MDD Europe and Asia Pacific Division, which was sold in April 2007.The company experiences accelerating sales growth and the MDD North American business momentum continued with a Q4 sales growth of 9%.
