Renesas to sell Aomori plant to Fuji Electric?

The Aomori manufacturing facility is owned by Renesas Northern Japan Semiconductor Inc., a Renesas subsidiary. It is said to change ownership in summer for several billion Yen. Furthermore, Renesas is also rumoured to consider selling its Tsuruoka plant in Yamagata Prefecture held by another unit, Renesas Yamagata Semiconductor Co., regional media reports. Here semiconductor foundry Global Foundries Inc. is named as a potential buyer.
