UK electronics development contractor short of staff

UK-based electronics development contractor The Advanced Digital Institute ADI needs additional staff and non-executive directors.

ADI was set up last year in Yorkshire, England, with $4 million of regional assistance funding. ADI has been set up as a center to provide businesses with development support within communications and consumer electronics primarily. Last year the company had two employees. This year ADI plan to increase to 15 by the end of this year, eight of which will be engineers. At the end of ADI's three year plan, it is expected there will be six sector managers, 40 engineers working alongside 30 to 40 industry and university placements. ADI is currently looking for staff with the ability to design FPGAs and ASICs, experience on communications protocols and standards, algorithm development and mathematical modeling and simulation. ADI is also looking for non-executive directors with electronics experience to work on a voluntary basis.
