New assembly plant for Ensto in Russia

Ensto has made an agreement to lease a 2,400-square-metre industrial property in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The assembly of Ensto Utility Networks products will begin in the property in June 2007. In March 2007, Ensto's St. Petersburg sales company and the warehouse operations in St. Petersburg will move into new premises within the property. In Russia, Ensto has a sales company also in Moscow. The new plant will increase the number of employees in Russia from 40 to approximately 75 and this investment will not affect the number of employees in Finland. The assembly plant is being opened as part of Ensto's growth strategy for Russia. Russia is an important market for Ensto, one that is expected to continue growing in the coming years. Ensto's goal for Russia is to respond to growing demand for electrical equipment through increased efficiency and customer-orientation.
