Flextronics acquires Brazilian network supplier

Flextronics Network Services, today announced that it has acquired Converge Engenharia de Comunicações S.A in Brazil from Construtura Engenharia de Sistemas LTDA.
Through this deal, Flextronics Network Services gains additional on-site network services capabilities for maintenance and expansion telecom networks and acquires Converge’s existing customer base that includes a key relationship with Telefonica.

Converge is an on-site network services supplier to Telefonica in Brazil, providing construction, installation and maintenance services for the company’s outdoor network in Sao Paulo. Through the Converge acquisition, Flextronics Network Services increases its employee base in Brazil, adds world-class on-site network services capabilities to its portfolio and expands its existing relationship with Telefonica. Flextronics Network Services will now provide maintenance and expansion telecom network services to Telefonica, in addition to services it already provides this customer.

The addition of Converge capabilities complements other strategic acquisitions recently made by Flextronics Network Services and establishes the company as a leading supplier of on-site network services in Latin America.
