IBM acquires ISS
IBM acquires Internet Security Systems for $1.3 billion.
The acquisition of ISS was IBM's fourth major acquisition this month. On August 1, the company bought Webify which helps companies link together their business applications, on August 10, IBM announced a $1.6 billion offer to purchase content management software vendor FileNet, on Tuesday IBM completed the $740 million acquisition of enterprise asset management specialist MRO Software and now this one, the acquisition of ISS.
