PCB laminates made in Europe

How Panasonic's laminate factory located in Pisticci, Italy, has retooled to serve Europe's changing PCB manufacturing requirements.
The last time I visited Pisticci, in the Basilicata region of southern Italy, it was over fifteen years ago, my task being to vendor-assess what was then the most modern laminating plant in Europe. The company was Lamitel, which later merged with Austrian laminator Multicon.

The wheel goes full circle! Here I am in spring 2006, back in Pisticci to review the most modern laminating plant in Europe. The company is Panasonic, who took over the Italian and Austrian facilities in 2000, and have made substantial investment since that time.
