SACOM accuses Apple supplier of withholding wages

Labour rights group, Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour (SACOM), is accusing one of Apple's Chinese suppliers of exploiting factory workers.

SACOM claims that Lens Technology, which makes touchscreen glass for Apple, is using forced overtime and is withholding wages, which was uncovered after a month-long investigation at three of the company's factories, writes The Business Insider. When Apple's new iPhone 6s went on sales on the Asian markets, the labour right group called upon the American company to; “apply immediate measures to rectify exploitations in its supply chain”, the report concludes.
