Able acquisition raised sales<br> for SigmaTron

SigmaTron's revenues hiked 41.3% to $34.9 million in the company's second quarter ended Oct 31.
The rising revenues where helped by the acquisition of Able Electronics. "Our results for our second quarter were much improved over our first quarter results. Second-quarter and year-to-date net income and earnings were negatively impacted by operating resulting from our acquisition of Able Electronics", SigmaTron's CEO Gary R. Fairhead said.

Yet the earnings for the company's second quarter fell by 7.6%. The company added in its press release that they are planning to transfer some operations from their Mexico plant to China and there fore are looking to find additional skilled workforce. SigmaTron also intends to combine the operations of SigmaTron Fremont into SigmaTron Hayward by the end of fiscal 2006.
