Foxconn, Arima get manufacturing from Motorola

Foxconn and Arima Communications have reportedly secured manufacturing deals from Motorola.

Motorola Mobility is said to hand out manufacturing of its low-end and mid-range smartphones to EMS-giant Foxconn and Arima Communications. According to DigiTimes, Foxconn will manufacture 70-80% of new models that will be launched in 2012, with the newly launched XT532 already being made by Foxconn. The rest of handsets will be produced by Arima Communications. The Motorola manufacturing deal only covers the production of smartphones with a price tag below $300-350. All high-end handsets will still be released directly by Motorola.
