The Foxconn Empire: 920'000 in China

Taiwan-based EMS-provider Foxconn has 920'000 employees at their various facilities in China.
920'000 employees in China, the majority of which is still in Shenzhen (470'000 staff). However, the EMS-provider has recently announced to transfer production a new facility in Henan. Staff numbers in Shenzhen will go down to between 300'000 - 350'000. And it will not stop there. Foxconn is planning to have 1.3 million employees by the end of 2011.

The EMS-giant also operates manufacturing facilities around the globe; 25 factories in 12 countries (e.g. Czech Republic, Hungary, Mexico or Poland) to be precise.

Manufacturing facilities in China are also located in:

• Chengdu
• Chongqing
• Kunshan
• Langfang
• Shenzhen
• Taiyuan
• Wuhan
• Yantai
• Zhengzhou
