Flextronics & Cree cooperate on LED lighting products
US-based manufacturer Cree and the Flextronics unit in Mecklenburg County are cooperating on LED lightning products.
Cree plans to expand its North Carolina manufacturing capacity and has begun manufacturing and assembling LED lighting products with Flextronics in Mecklenburg County.
Cree plans to add 275 jobs during 2009 to serve the expansion of LED manufacturing capacity at its Durham facility.The company also plans to create an additional 300 jobs by the end of 2012.
