The worldwide electronics manufacturing services market grew 12.5 percent in 2008, as the worldwide electronics assembly market grew a mere 0.5 percent.
EMSAfter a painful downturn in 2009, the EMS market will resume growth in 2010, as the outsourcing of electronics manufacturing continues its relentless march.
ETP estimates that total electronics assembly value was $964 billion in 2008 and will grow to over $1.2 trillion in 2013. Fueled by this huge market, ETP believes that the EMS industry will grow from $294 billion in 2008 to $435 billion in 2013.
