Cookson invests in Alpha laser cutting equipment

Cookson Electronics Assembly Materials, has made a substantial investment in new laser cutting.
“Investment in equipment to produce stencils to these high levels of precision has been prompted by requests from customers with high end printing requirements, mainly in the automotive electronics sector,” said Tom Meeus, Global Manager for New Product Development: Stencils. “This move further enhances our ability to match the stencil to the pcb in our quest to increase first pass and process yield.

As part of this new stencil “package”, it is Alpha’s intention to provide analytical reports detailing aperture size and positional accuracy.
