Pioneer to end TV manufacturing
Media reports in Japan suggest that Pioneer is to stop manufacturing of TVs and all related products.
The company has recently announced to look for collaboration partners. Pioneer has so far outsourced the manufacturing of its smaller plasma TVs to Panasonic and Hitachi, as well as entered a production cooperation for its Blu-ray players with Sharp. The Japanese company is rumoured to expects losses as high as US$1.1 billion.
