Foxconn lays off in Czech
EMS provider Foxconn has laid off 100 staff members at their latest plant in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic.
However the company said that another 200 could also be leaving the plant. The reason for the cut backs is the fact that the plant was not able to create sustainable growth conditions for the development of production. By the end of the summer the plant is expected to have 1000 employees, according to CBW. A total of 5000 were expected to work in this plant when full capacity is reached. The production in the Kutná Hora facility was just launched - in June this year.
