RoHS raises fear of PCB shortage

The upcoming RoHS lead-free directive could create a possible shortage in PCB design if firms are in the last minute to redesign PCB’s, according to a report published by Electronics Weekly.
Some UK based PCB producers have warned that companies could see project lead times increasing as design firms become engulfed by a potential last minute increase in PCB redesigns, Electroncs Weekly reports.
