- 11:00 - 11:30Are you overthinking semiconductor datecodes?Ronny Nietzsche - Rochester Electronics

In this presentation, Rochester Electronics, debunks the myths surrounding date codes.
Historically, it was believed components were no longer usable due to metrics like “two-year date code”. However, date codes are no longer a reliable indicator of component quality and may prevent the use of perfectly viable components. Presentation will explore why purchasers no longer need to fear component ‘expiration dates’. They can feel confident that properly stored components will not only be reliable in the field, but of high quality well past their date code.

- 12:25 - 12:55Leading edge fineline PCB productionDr. Tamara Aderneuer - DYCONEX

The miniaturization of highly integrated flexible printed circuit boards (PCBs) is a critical advancement in modern electronics, driven by the demand for smaller, more efficient devices. This talk explores the use of a semi-additive process (SAP) to achieve fine structures with line and space dimensions as small as 15 µm. The SAP technique offers significant advantages in artwork precision, making it ideal for high-density applications. SAP technology enables smallest line/space structures, and therefore a small pitch not possible with conventional subtractive technology. Miniaturization through additive processes imposes new requirements on existing quality inspections and equipment technology.
Dyconex discusses challenges und developments to support the continued miniaturization of PCB substrates, ensuring both high performance and reliability in future electronic devices.

- 14:40 - 15:10How do you manage your projects with demands on higher quality and less cost without losing track on the process?John Ludvigsen - InnoFour

Embedded software is in virtually all the products we come in contact with every day. For example, there are 100+ million lines of code in automotive, 24% of Medical device recalls are due to software issues, and there's 15.4% growth in the software driven "Smart Appliance" market.
As a result the use of embedded software is quickly infringing on hardware’s dominance in the product development process. However in many environments software development is a siloed activity that leads to disconnects between product requirements and implementation that leads to product recalls or product failures. In legacy software development environments, many different point solutions are used to manage the application lifecycle. As a result, development artifacts are scattered, slowing down collaboration, hindering transparency, undermining integrity and making it difficult to drive innovation.
This presentation of Polarion Application Lifecycle Management will cover the challenges in today’s embedded software development and how Polarion can help organizations with a unified solution that divers project transparency through real-time aggregated management information. Polarion enables everyone to be aligned around what is being built and why, to drive advancement while protecting integrity and compliance. Polarion helps teams respond faster and with better quality to new business opportunities and customer demands. The presentation will also show how it’s possible to work with different stakeholders like clients and managers together with projectmembers so that everybody has a real-time view of the status of the project.
- 15:15 - 15:45Manufacturing in Sweden: Ten factories. Half the market.Dennis Dahlgren - Senior Editor - Evertiq

Who actually owns the Swedish EMS market? This presentation is built on a database constructed from scratch – more than 750 companies reviewed one by one, 77 qualified.
The result is a mapping of Sweden's 20 largest EMS providers, and their factories, based on 2024 revenues, with original analysis of market concentration, geographic distribution, and the consolidation reshaping the industry in real time. Spoiler: ten factories account for more than half the market.
