US AI chip maker Mythic acquires videantis from Hanover

The U.S. specialist in analog AI computing technology Mythic is acquiring the Hanover-based processor IP developer videantis, as announced by deep-tech investor eCAPITAL on May 19. eCAPITAL, an early backer of videantis, will retain a stake in the merged company. Mythic plans to combine its analog compute-in-memory technology with the processor IP from Hanover, which is already used in mass-produced chips, to develop AI computing power with significantly lower energy consumption
