Paper thin battery

Researchers at the American research center Polytechnic Institute in New York have invented a paper thin battery.

The paper thin battery is foldable, rollable, light and thin just like a sheet of paper. The battery itself is built on a lithium-ion technology where carbon nano tubes have been buried in the cellulose. The cellulose is the isolation in the electrolyte that actually can be cut in pieces suitable for your application. The battery sheet is also stackable if you require more power than the original 2,5 Volts and 10 m Amperes. "You can stack the paper to increase the power. We have experimented with ten sheets but nothing says that you can't use 500 sheets and it can be rolled, bended or folded to the shape you want", professor Robert Linhardt commented.
