Nokia Siemens and Foxconn diversifies<br>manufacturing cooperation

Nokia Siemens and Taiwanese EMS provider Foxconn has now extended its manufacturing cooperation into GSM base stations.
Nokia Siemens Network and Hon Hai Precision Industry(Foxconn) will now include even GSM base stations in the product range that Foxconn manufactures for the Finnish telecom provider.

The news about the extended manufacturing contract for Foxconn came from Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) Greater China Chairman David Ho.

NSN also seeks partnerships for manufacturing and development of WiMAX products. According to Mike Wang, NSN Taiwan general manger, some local companies have been relying on the following firms for WiMAX terminal product certification, including ZyXEL Communications Corp., GemTek Technology Co., Ltd., D-Link Corp., CyberTAN Technology Inc., High Tech Computer Corp. (HTC), Compal Communications Inc. (CCI), BenQ Corp., etc.
