Sony Ericsson sales rise in Taiwan
In February this year share of Sony Ericsson's Taiwan handset market is expected to reach a record 18-20%.
According to Steve Yeh, president of Sony Ericsson Taiwan, the companies share stands a good chance of catching up to Motorola by the end of the year.
Statistics from market research firms shows that Sony Ericsson came third with 16.7% of the Taiwan mobile phone market in January this year; Nokia had 28.9% and Motorola's 24.3%.
In terms of share of sales value Mr.Yeh said that Sony Ericsson ranked second with 23.8% behind Nokia's 30%, and Motorola was third place with 16.1%.
According to Mr. Yeh companies K610i handset model was the best-selling in Taiwan in February with shipments of more than 20,000 units.
