Philips moves handset operations from Europe
Dutch based Royal Philips Electronics and China Electronics Corporation (CEC) have signed an agreement to transfer Philips' remaining mobile phone handset activities to CEC.
CEC will take over the manufacturing of Philips' Mobile Phones business, which had 2006 sales of approximately 320 million Euros and has approximately 240 employees, mostly in Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific.
