Hynix and STMicro to expand fab
Hynix and STMicroelectronics will reportedly raise fundings to expand their jointly owned chip plant i Wxi, China.
According to electronicsweekly Hynix and STMicroelectronics will reportedly raise $750m to expand their jointly owned fab in Wuxi, China.
The joint venture fab will produce DRAM chips from its current 200mm production line and the new 300mm line is expected to begin mass production in October.
