GE settles lawsuit
GE and two of its suppliers have now paid $11.5 million to the United States to settle a lawsuit made on GE.
The lawsuit alleged General Electric sold defective blades for engines used in U.S. military planes and helicopters.
GE disputed the allegations made in the lawsuit, but “settled the case in order to put it behind us,” a GE spokesperson said in a statement.
