Google’s Pixel will be sporting touch sensors from FPC

Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL Smartphones will feature touch fingerprint sensors from Swedish Fingerprint Cards (FPC).

The new phones will be sporting the FPC1025 fingerprint sensor. Received as well as expected revenues in 2016 that relate to sales of FPC1025 for this smartphone model are included in FPC’s revenue guidance of SEK 7.2 billion – SEK 8.3 billion (USD 832.34 million – USD 959.50 million) for 2016. “We are proud to be selected by Google to supply our FPC1025 Touch Fingerprint Sensor in their innovative new Pixel and Pixel XL Smartphones powered by Android 7.0 Nougat. FPC1025 supports 360-degree finger rotation capability, unsurpassed biometric performance, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality,” commented Christian Fredrikson, CEO of Fingerprint Cards.
