Nokia top ranked at Russian handset market

99 percent of the shipped mobile handsets were GSM phones. The value of the GSM mobile handset shipments were up 21 percent in 2005 to reach €4 billion. The research institute that reported these figures though believe that the Russian market will decline during 2006. Nokia climbed up to the first place in the rankings from the fourth place the year before. Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, BenQ-Siemens and Sony Ericsson togethter represented 85% of the total shipment volume in Russia in 2005.
