Top 50 surpasses USD 250 billion

Manufacturing Market Insider has released its annual MMI Top 50 list of the world’s largest EMS providers. In 2013, Top 50 sales reached a new high of USD 254.3 billion.

Top 50 sales grew by 1.9% last year, not surprising given less-than-expected growth in world markets and caution among OEMs. Making the Top 50 for 2013 was more difficult than the year before. To qualify for the 2013 list, EMS providers needed a minimum of USD 239 million in sales, compared with the prior year’s cutoff of USD 210 million. MMI Top 50 providers were ranked based on 2013 sales in U.S. dollars. In order, the top ten were Hon Hai, Pegatron, Flextronics, Jabil, New Kinpo Group, Sanmina, Celestica, Benchmark Electronics, Shenzhen Kaifa Technology and Universal Scientific Industrial. A top-ten ranking required USD 2.30 billion in revenue, up from USD 2.11 billion in 2012. To can find more information from MMI here
