Visteon opens manufacturing plant in Thailand

Visteon Electronics, a business unit of Visteon Corporation, has officially launched a new automotive electronics production facility in Rayong, Thailand.

The 4'700-square meter (50'600-square foot) site, on the Hemaraj Industrial Estate consolidates Visteon Electronics' manufacturing in Thailand and employs approximately 190 people. "The new Rayong facility is a key contributor to Visteon Electronics' continued expansion and growth with vehicle manufacturers in Southeast Asia," said Steve Meszaros, president, Visteon Electronics. "Visteon has extensive local capability in the region which is one of the world's fastest growing automotive markets." The plant incorporates a class 100k clean room with conductive floors, an injection molding shop, a durability test lab and metrology lab, among other facilities. Visteon Automotive Electronics (Thailand) supplies instrument clusters, audio products and multi-function displays to Ford, Mazda, Nissan and Honda, including electronic clusters for motorcycles.
