Wireless communication – without batteries
The project is called Ambient Backscatter, a wireless primitive that enables interactive devices that compute and communicate without batteries.
The idea is to transform existing wireless signals into both a source of power and a communication medium. Which in turn enables two battery-free devices to communicate by backscattering the existing wireless signals.
