Further SMT investments at Assel

Assel, a Poland-based Electronics Manufacturing provider, has invested in more SMT equipment.

Assel has invested in two Pick & Place GC60 units, delivered by Universal. The machines were implemented into the production process in 2Q 2012. The units include a built-in software solution allowing for component traceability, material consumption data, feeder tracking, automatic reel validation and intelligent changeover concept. Assel says that the two new units have enlarged its capacity by 10-15%. “This aims to not only enlarge our capacity, but to implement better and more complex software solutions to control our process in a more efficient manner – and transfer these benefits on our customers," said a spokesperson for the company.
