Cencorp falls behind in latest period, signs MOU

Cencorp's net sales and operating profits for the first half of the year were both down. The company also announced an MOU for the acquisition of Avery Dennison's Conductive Back Sheet business.

Cencorp's net sales for the reporting period January - June 2012 was EUR 9.1 million (EUR 11.2 million in 2011). Operating profit was EUR -1.1 million (-2.3) Profit for the period EUR -1.3 million (-3.3). April - June 2012 - Cencorp Group's net sales decreased by 27.0 per cent to EUR4.7 million (EUR6.4 million). - EBITDA was EUR -1.0 million(EUR -0.3 million) - Operating profit was EUR -1.5 million (EUR -0.9 million) - The Group's profit before taxes was EUR -1.3 million (EUR -1.2 million) - Profit for the period was EUR -1.3 million (EUR -1.3 million) January - June 2012 - Cencorp Group's net sales decreased by 18.7 per cent to EUR 9.1 million (EUR 11.2 million). - The order book at the end of June stood at ca. EUR 3.3 million (EUR 4.2 million). - EBITDA was EUR 0.01 million (EUR -1.2 million). - Operating profit was EUR -1.1 million (EUR -2.3 million). - The EBITDA and the operating profit include a one-off profit of EUR 1.2nmillion from the sale of Beijing plant. - The Group's profit before taxes was EUR -1.3 million (EUR -3.3 million). - Profit for the period was EUR -1.3 million (EUR -3.3 million). Outlook and MOU Cencorp announced that the company had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) related to the acquisition of Avery Dennison's Conductive Back Sheet (CBS) business and related intellectual property rights. The MOU is non-binding. Cencorp said it would not present a market outlook due to the unknown impact of the proposed acquistion.
