Sampo contracts Czech plant for LCDs
Taiwan's Sampo Co., a home-appliance maker, recently contracted local First International Computer Inc. (FIC) to produce liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma display panel (PDP) TVs for sales in Europe in 2006.
Sampo will also utilize the G-Hanz.Sampo brand, an own-brand jointly set up with G-Hanz of Germany, to tap the European Union (EU) market.
