Samsung to outsource notebook production
Samsung has handed production over to Taiwan-based ODMs. For the first time.
South Korean electronics giant Samsung Electronics is said to have outsourced notebook production to Compal Electronics, with shipments to begin in June 2012, writes DigiTimes. This covers vor different notebook models and 2-3 million units this year. No numbers for 2013 are available, but an increase is expected.
