Hanza opens a third factory in Estonia

Hanza has opened a new factory for sheet metal mechanics in Tartu, Estonia.

Located in a new production plant of 6'000 sqm, the new plant supports sheet metal processes such as punching, bending, laser cutting, robot welding and powder coating. “We are very pleased to see the huge interest in our new plant”, says Ove Karlsson, President, Hanza Mechanics Division. “Our new factory has been designed in order to create a cost-effective unit with a wide range of suitable machines and a modern factory layout” Hanza was founded four years ago and has since then grown rapidly, both organically and through acquisitions. Today the annual sale is about 130 MEUR, employing about 1000 employees in Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Poland. Last autumn Hanza opened a new factory for Electronics in Poland and opened a new expansion of the factory for machining in Sweden. “This widens our offer substantially”, says Thomas Lindström, vice President Sales& Marketing. “It also fills an existing demand from several of our customers”.
