Top50 EMS tops USD 200bn in revenue
The sales of the Top50 EMS companies worldwide reached a new high of USD 213.4 billion.
A 55% majority of Top 50 revenue came from Hon Hai Precision Industry, the giant of the EMS industry. Thanks to Hon Hai, Top 50 sales grew by 15.7% despite macroeconomic head winds that blew in from various parts of the globe. Without Hon Hai, revenue growth dropped into the single-digit range.
Making the Top 50 for 2011 was easier than the year before. To qualify for the 2011 list, EMS providers needed a minimum of $208 million in sales, down from the prior year’s cutoff of $233 million.
