Nokisoft to buy RIM?

The hottest rumour around: Microsoft and Nokia to discuss a potential takeover of RIM.
Microsoft and Nokia have began talks on the subject several months ago, a WSJ report suggests. Whilst executives from all three companies involved apparently meet on a regular basis, it is unclear whether or not the Canadians are actively discussing a potential acquisition.

RIM is also rumoured to have approached Samsung, HTC and others on talks about potentially licensing the new BlackBerry 10 OS. No signs of success on these talks though.

Co-CEO Jim Balsillie is said to indicated internally that any serious consideration of any takeover bids has to wait until handsets with BlackBerry 10 OS go on sale.
