Nippon Mektron resumes partial work in Thailand

Partial operations at Mektec Manufacturing have resumed in Thailand, Nippon Mektron has announced.
The subsidiary of Nippon Mektron, located in the Ayutthaya Provice of Thailand, was damaged by recent flooding, with operations suspended since October 12.

Operations of FPC after- processing and mounting process resumed again on November 28. The company said it hopes to be fully operational by March 2012.

Nippon Mektron's other subsidiary in the area, Nok Precision Component, remains out of production. The company said that it hopes to resume partial production in February 2012, with a complete recovery in April 2012.
