HTC to build Facebook smartphone?

According to AllThingsD – citing ”sources familiar with the project”- the phone will run on a version of Android that will be designed to heavily integrate Facebook services. Facebook allegedly chose HTC after considering Samsung and production is likley to be as long as 12 to 18 months away. The project is led by Facebook CTO Bret Taylor, several sources said. Facebook and HTC both declined to comment on the phone directly.
