EMS-giant Foxconn has secured a manufacturing deal with China-based network equipment manufacturer Huawei.
Both companies signed a memorandum of understanding for manufacturing orders to Foxconn by 2013. The deal is worth USD 2 billion, reports Focus Taiwan. Foxconn is expected to supply PCBs, terminal devices and whole integrated units.
Huawei signed a similar deal with Prime Broadband relating to set-up boxes (STBs) and WiMAX products. The deal is worth USD 400 million over the next 3 years.
