Toshiba close chip unit
Toshiba will close down one of its oldest units and outsource some semiconductor production.
The company expects to boost profitability by outsourcing the production and close down this unit. The number 2 unit in Yokkaichi, Japan will close down next month and phase out low-end chips that are used in memory sticks, reports Businessweek.
