Elcoteq invests in high volumes in India

EMS company Elcoteq announced its plans to invest $50-$100 Million in high volume manufacturing in India.
The new 5,400m² manufacturing facility will be used for low-mix and high-volume manufacturing of cellphones, PDAs and some network equipment.

"We believe these regions will be the biggest sources of new business in the near future", said Hannu Keinänen, president of Elcoteq Asia-Pacific.
