Global production of Rigid & Flex PCB in 2008
Despite the global crisis beginning in the Q3 and Q4 of 2008, some geographical regions were able to report a slight growth in the production of Rigid & Flex PCBs - Europe being one of them.
Despite its low percentage figure of 7.6% for the Rigid & Flex PCB production in 2008, it actually represents a small growth – from 7.1% in 2007. It was – after China/HK with 30.7% (2007: 29.1%) – the highest percentage increase recorded.
However, all figures are preliminary results – presented at this year’s APEX-Show in Las Vegas by Walt Custer from Custer Consulting. As shown in the charts below, the total production volume decreased in 2008 - from $51.9 billion (2007) to $48.9 billion.
