Foxconn to not invest in branded handsets
Foxconn International Holdings has reportedly no plans in investing in branded handset vendors.
However, the company could be interested in handset design companies, it is said. This comes as a response to recent rumours that the company plans to acquire a stake in China-based Beijing Tianyu Communication Equipment.
The company has employed 700-800 new staff at its R&D operations this year alone, the company’s spokesperson Vincent Tong is reported to say.
