- 10:05 - 10:55Electronics for security and defence systems – experience from UkraineKvertus
A representative of the Ukrainian company Kvertus will present advanced electronic solutions used in security and defence applications. The company develops technologies for detection, identification, and neutralisation of threats, including solutions related to unmanned systems and electronic warfare.
The talk will address the engineering and technological challenges involved in designing reliable electronic systems that must operate in high-risk and rapidly changing environments. It will also explore the importance of fast development cycles and technological adaptability, as well as how experience from real-world deployments influences the evolution of modern electronic solutions.
- 11:00 - 11:30Unlocking agility: modular robotics in high-mix, low-volume manufacturingPiotr Owczarek - Executive Leader in Industrial Operations & AI Innovation - Fitech

High-mix, low-volume (HMLV) production remains one of the most demanding operational realities for EMS factories. Frequent changeovers, shifting customer requirements, and short lead times make it difficult to maintain stable throughput while controlling costs and labour constraints. Traditional automation often struggles in this environment due to long integration cycles and limited flexibility once deployed.
This presentation explores how modular robotic workstations can support agility in HMLV electronics manufacturing by enabling rapid reconfiguration of production tasks and layouts. Instead of designing automation around a single product or fixed line, the modular approach allows factories to adapt to changing order profiles with shorter setup times and reduced disruption.
The talk will cover practical considerations such as where modular robotics provides the strongest value (e.g., repetitive sub-assemblies, testing, handling), how to approach deployment in an existing EMS environment, and which organisational factors determine success. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in industrial operations and manufacturing transformation, Piotr Owczarek will discuss how automation and AI can be implemented pragmatically, focusing on measurable impact rather than “automation for automation’s sake”.

- 13:00 - 14:00The Semiconductor Industry as it is, not as it is toldClaus Aasholm - Founder & CEO - Semiconductor Business Intelligence

Claus Aasholm, founder of Semiconductor Business Intelligence and a seasoned semiconductor strategist, will join Evertiq Expo to deliver a fact-based examination of the global semiconductor industry.
Known for his precise analytical approach and proprietary data models, Claus focuses on the metrics that truly define the market: capacity expansion, capital investments, supply chain shifts, labour dynamics, regional policy effects and real utilisation patterns across the value chain.
Rather than repeating industry narratives, he examines the underlying data that reveals structural change, exposes real areas of growth and challenges assumptions often repeated in corporate and policy environments. His analysis is designed to bring clarity to a sector shaped by geopolitical intervention, significant capital deployment and rising technological requirements.

- 15:15 - 15:55Europe’s defence industry in numbers: capital concentration, shifting priorities, and implications for the electronics mEwelina Bednarz - Global Content Manager - Evertiq

The closing presentation will examine one of the fastest-growing segments of European industry — the defence sector — and its increasing influence on the electronics market. The presentation will be based on the latest ranking of Europe’s largest defence companies and an analysis of their position within the global landscape.
Building on the discussion initiated at last year’s conference, the session will explore how the structure of Europe’s defence industry has evolved and what new patterns are emerging from the most recent data. Drawing on current datasets and research prepared by Evertiq, the talk will outline major structural shifts across the sector, including capital concentration, changing investment priorities, the expanding role of dual-use technologies, and ongoing transformations in supply chains. Particular attention will be given to how growth in the defence sector translates into demand for advanced electronics, components, embedded systems, and manufacturing capabilities in Europe.
The keynote will help put defence industry data into a broader perspective, showing how developments in this sector reflect wider changes across Europe’s electronics ecosystem — from investment decisions and capacity expansion to R&D priorities. As the final session of the conference, the presentation is intended to provide a structured overview of the forces that are likely to shape the electronics industry in 2026 and beyond.
