CBA has been recommending to many of our OEM clients that they consider a 'regional' electronics manufacturing strategy. Our data indicates it is more cost effective from a total cost analysis. This means building a product close geographically to an OEM's customers. A manufacturing solution that includes a geographically remote facility tends to be more costly and have more risk, especially when the OEM includes the internal cost to manage the suppliers.
