In Europe LCD TV shipment reached 7.3 million units in 07
In 3Q 2007 LCD TV shipments to EMEA touched 7.3 million units.
LCD TV shipments into Europe, Middle East and Africa were 7.3 million units in the third quarter last year. This is an increase of 18.31 % compared to 6.17 million units in the second quarter last year.
The South Korean vendor shipped 1.97 million units in the third quarter followed by Philips with 1.27 million units, Sony with 890,000 units, LG Electronics with 846,000 units and and Sharp with 753,000, Gulfnews reports.
This year the global LCD TV panel market is expected to expand to 102.5 million units, an increase by 27.2 %. In 2007 the global LCD TV panel market was 80.5 million units. This will mark the first time shipments have surpassed the 100 million mark.
